At Boyd, I simply feel as though I have been beat up and robbed. I lose a lot of money at other casinos, too, but in a much more enjoyable fashion. I do not know why almost every visit to a Boyd casino is so unsatisfying, but I know that it has been my experience for years.
Multiple machines were played that went 10-15-20 spins without giving even the most minimal (2X bet) payouts, or even a push. I played multiple machines one day and NEVER got to play a bonus. However this has rarely been my experience at Boyd Casinos, and it certainly was not my experience during the two days we were here this week. In particular, you get to play a machine's bonus games with a certain frequency. But while you are losing money, there is a certain frequency of modest wins that give you hope and keep you playing. I know big wins are rare, and I expect to lose money more often than I break even or come out ahead. We've been to literally hundreds of casinos across the country over the last 30 years so I have a realistic expectation of slot play.
But it's run by Boyd Gaming and I rarely have a satisfying slot experience at ANY of their casinos. It's a nice clean bright casino with a good diversity of slot machines and free soda.
